We are off to a great start in second grade! We are busy learning expectations and procedures in our classroom and school. Thank you SO much to everyone who has sent in school supplies as well as optional items. It is greatly appreciated! Please remember to sign your child's agenda each night. Also, be sure to sign your child's orange Tuesday Folder everything Tuesday and return it the following day. If you have not joined Class Dojo, please take a moment to do so. We will be posting pictures and events happening, as well as important information.
2nd Grade Updates:
Don’t forget that Christmas stocking items are due by Thursday, December 19th. Please refer to the letter that was sent home a few weeks ago for more details and ideas of what to send. Thanks to those that have already sent in items!

The annual Salvation Army Canned Food Drive has begun! Please donate any canned food items. The drive will end next Friday, December 13th.
Santa pictures are this Thursday, December 5th.
Make plans to join us next Thursday, December 12th for a PTO meeting at 5:30PM and PBL Presentations beginning at 6:00PM. During PBL Presentations, students will be able to show off what they have been learning! Our students have been working hard researching an animal, writing a report, and creating a Google SlideShow for our virtual zoo museum.
We have started our Winter Assessments. Please encourage your child to do their best and focus. This is their chance to show what they have learned and how much they have grown so far in 2nd grade. We will be taking the F&P Reading Assessment which is one on one with the teacher and the Reading and Math MAP Assessment which is done independently on the computer.
Reminder: Students return to school after break on Tuesday, January 7th!
