It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I serve as the principal of Moreland Road Elementary. I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to lead in a school with a reputation of excellence, and I feel fortunate to be a part of such a dedicated team of educators, parents, and students who are committed to high academic expectations.
I have served students as a paraprofessional, a teacher and an administrator since I first began my career as an educator in 1999. Before being appointed principal of MRE in 2019, I supported Cowan Road Elementary as an assistant principal and served as a district MTSS / PBIS Coordinator for Griffin Spalding Schools. Prior to working in GSCS, I facilitated professional learning experiences at a district level through my involvement as a project manager for school transformation serving multiple schools and working with their Administrative and leadership teams to reinvent their schools and increase student ownership, learning, and success.
My primary goals as principal of Moreland Road Elementary are to provide leadership that will facilitate a solid home-school partnership and provide the dedicated stakeholders in the MRE community with the coaching, tools, and guidance needed to ensure excellence for our students. I truly believe that education is a collaborative effort among educators, students, parents, and community members. We will honor diversity and work together to empower each student to become lifelong learners prepared to be an active and resilient citizen. We can ensure excellence in teaching and learning by developing and retaining highly effective educators who provide high-quality education in a safe environment. We will continuously examine and adapt our curriculum and services to meet the needs of all students.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family at MRE throughout the year! In addition, please feel welcome to contact me with any praises, concerns, questions, or ideas via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (770) 229-3755.
