Dimitra Collier was appointed assistant principal of Moreland Road Elementary School on June 27, 2024.

This is Dimitra's 18th year with the Griffin-Spalding County School System. She began her career in education as a special education secretary at Central Office. She began her teaching career as a Pre-K paraprofessional and has taught grades PreK - 5th and 9th - 12th. and has served in She has also served as an ESOL Specialist, Administrative Dean of Student Discipline and in many other leadership capacities.

She earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Special Education from Mercer University, a master's degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Reading and Literacy, a master's degree in Teacher Leadership with an ESOL Endorsement from Valdosta State University, an Educational Leadership Tier I Certification from Georgia Southern University and is currently in the Educational Tier 2 Certification Program at University of West Georgia.
